Thank you for your checking out the Women Can Project!
My name is Morgan and I have a passion for women's professional development! Through my own personal experience working in an industry heavily male dominated (roofing), I've had the great fortune of meeting other awesome ladies in male dominated industries who are breaking glass ceilings and exceeding expectations.
Through the development of these relationships, it became clear all these ladies had a couple things in common:
They were tenacious
They worked hard
They didn't take no for an answer
No professional journey is the same and each woman had overcome some kind of obstacle to get to where she was. Above all, these women were eager to support other women's development! This realization inspired me!
"How can I connect these women and share these awesome stories?" I asked myself.
Should I send up smoke signals, invest in carrier pigeons, or start a podcast? As I have a complicated history with pigeons and I'm prone to fire related accidents, podcasting seemed like the safest and most efficient option. In October of 2019 the Women Can Project Podcast was born and since then I've had the great pleasure of interviewing women who work in diverse industries like marketing, tech/app development, grief support, erosion control, fire rescue, the non profit sector, and more!
Each story is unique and each woman has had to earn her seat at the table.
My hope is you will be just as inspired by these ladies as I am. And I hope through sharing these amazing stories we can support and uplift other women, as well as help create career and mentorship opportunities for the next generation.
Let's set the next generation of women up for success by giving them honest experiences, clear direction, and sound advice. Let's show them that women can.
